Cookie Policy

This website uses cookies to function properly and, with your consent, to improve your experience. Here we explain which cookies we use and how you manage them.

Note: This document is a working draft and is subject to legal review (data protection officer / legal service) before official publication.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser to remember certain information (e.g. your language choice or cookie consent).

Which cookies we use

Cookies are grouped into categories. You switch each one on or off yourself, except the necessary ones.

  • Necessary (always active) — they remember your cookie choice (cookie-agreed, cookie-agreed-categories, cookie-agreed-version; 100 days) and maintain the session of signed-in editors (SSESS…; until sign-out). No consent is required for these, as the site cannot work without them.
  • Embedded content — video from YouTube. Until you accept this, the video is not loaded: a preview image is shown, and a connection to Google servers is established only when you start the video yourself.
  • Form protection (Google reCAPTCHA) — loaded on the Contact page to protect the form from automated abuse. Google thereby receives your IP address and may set its own cookie.

Managing consent

On your first visit you choose by category: "Accept all", "Save choice" (only the ticked categories) or "Necessary only".

You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer — the banner opens again and you choose anew.

Disabling in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the site.

Third-party cookies

Third-party services (Google reCAPTCHA and YouTube) may set their own cookies in accordance with their privacy policies, over which we have no direct control.
